Day 4: Something Green

This is a close up photograph of the green eyes of my cat. The green eyes which I intended to be the focus of the photograph contrast well with the red background. However the red can often take over the photograph which is not the effect I intended.  I think this composition makes guid use of the rule of thirds.  This cat was difficult to photograph as his fur is black and shiny so the flash would often go off and that would create very shiny fur. The flash turned off the fur is less shiny and a better photograph. The shallow focus emphasises the pronounced nose of the cat.
