Day 26: Close Up
These are the close ups of some costume jewellery that was passed down to me from my nan. I chose a blank white background so it will not distract form the subjects of the photograph, having a white background also meant that the colours of the subject stands out. I chose to use natural light on the necklaces to bring out all of the colours that cannot be seen with a flash on. The lines of the necklace coming from the corners of the photograph and leading down towards the centre of the photograph draws the eye down the necklace. The shallow focus teamed with the rule of thirds makes for an effective photograph.
