Day 3: Clouds

This is a landscape photograph of some birds on an arial against some clouds. I think the harsh metallic straight lines of the arial and the fluffy paleness of the clouds are a good contrast with each other and create an interesting overall outcome. This photograph also makes good use of the rule of thirds. If I were to take this photograph again I would wait until the evening so the sky is brighter and more colourful. this would drastically change the mood of the photograph. From the calm of this to a more romantic fiery mood.

Day 2: What you Wore

This is some close up photographs of some jewellery and a button on a coat that I wear. I think the contrast between the gold and silver work well together to create a striking compostion . The black background contrasts with the metallic focal point of the photographs. I also like the way the close up shows all the intricate detail on the button and the necklace. It draws attention to the little details on clothes and accessories that aren't always noticeable with the naked eye. I think both photographs make good use of the rule of thirds.

Day 2: What You Wore

Day 1: Portrait

This is a portrait of my cat that I took on my canon. This was a difficult photograph to take and get right because a lot of light was needed as the subject had very dark fur. In order to achieve the detail and capture the delicate fur in the photograph. I think i achieved the desired effect and the overall photographs turned out well. I like the way the green eyes stand out against the dark fur. This photograph follows the rule of thirds and has a very care focal point, which is the cats face and his eyes. If I were to improve this photograph I would take it again with a different background as I feel that the background is distracting to the focal point. I also think that I could use photoshop and edit this photograph further to make it more effective.
